Academics

MIT

I am a second-year PhD student at MIT in the Improbable AI Lab under Prof. Pulkit Agrawal. My work focuses on building highly dexterous robotic hands that are designed from the ground-up with learning in mind. My goal is to develop a readily available yet advanced robotic hand that can act as a research platform for other researchers to develop the next generation of dexterous control algorithms.

My most recent project is DexWrist, a robotic wrist design for constrained and dynamic manipulation. The wrist uses a parallel kinematic mechanism along with quasi-direct drive (QDD) actuators to make learning and control easier. Read about it here: dexwrist.csail.mit.edu

Caltech

I graduated Caltech in 2023 with a Bachelor's degree, majoring in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Aerospace Engineering, while focusing on robotics.

Here is a sample of the relevant coursework I have completed:

At Caltech, I was president of the California Beta chapter of Tau Beta Pi, the oldest engineering honor society in the United States. I have also been a teaching assistant for several classes, which you can read about on my Work Experience page

SUNY & NFA Academics

During high school, I was in program known as Newburgh PTECH (Formerly Excelsior Academy), a Pathways In Technology Early College Highschool (PTECH) program that was formed in partnership with Newburgh Free Academy (NFA), IBM, and SUNY Orange. This program allows students to obtain both a high school diploma from NFA and an Associate's Degree in Applied Science in either Networking or Cyber Security from SUNY Orange. These classes were taken at SUNY Orange Middletown Campus alongside fellow SUNY students. I am very content with the challenging and fascinating coursework in Cybersecurity I was given the opportunity to take.
